LifeTime Assist

by Teladoc Health

LifeTime Assist is an on-demand Virtual GP service and much more, giving you access to a UK-based GP at a time and place to suit you.

Virtual GP

No more calling at 8am in the hope of speaking to a GP the same day, or even the same week. The NHS is amazing but, let’s face it, pressure on primary care just doesn’t let up.

LifeTime Assist gives you access to a GP 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, via video or phone consultation.

Making an appointment is easy, and everything is totally confidential and secure. Just login through your computer, smartphone or tablet, find a time that works for you and book your appointment.

From speaking to a GP on your way to work, or at home on an evening or weekend, to direct referrals (if you have private medical insurance), private prescriptions* and sick notes, LifeTime Assist has got your back.

Second Medical Opinions

LifeTime Assist also allows you to request a Second Medical Opinion from world-leading consultants. The service gives you access to an independent and confidential written report, assessing your treating doctor’s diagnosis and treatment plan. Reports are not shared with your GP or your employer.

Mental Health Navigator

Expert mental health consultations are available, from counsellors or psychotherapists, to assess your mental wellbeing and identify next steps. This might include an additional consultation with a psychologist, where required. Also, reviews of existing conditions or prescribed treatment programme(s), where appropriate and requested.

Parent & Child Assessments

LifeTime Assist provides access to services from practitioner psychologists or clinical leads for parents looking for guidance and reassurance regarding their children. Where appropriate, the provision of an in-depth assessment of a child’s (up to 18 years) mental health can be provided. This might involve a session of up to 90 minutes with the child and parent(s) (and in some cases the child alone - from 16 up to 18 years old). A report is delivered with recommendations, self-help tools, and helpful advice on appropriate local resources.

* fulfilment of a private prescription will incur a cost.
